Daycare Inspection Web siteParents can search for licensed child care programs and view any inspection reports, rule violations, enforcement actions taken against them. The database will include the state’s approximately 5,700 a licensed child care programs including family child care programs with up to 8 children, group child care programs with 9 or more children, and day camps. Individuals will be able to search for information using the facility name, county, city, and/or zip code. Currently, the public may only request information regarding a child care program’s compliance history by phone, e-mail, mail, or by coming into the state licensing office. Fundraiser For Elena's House In WauwatosaThe Callen Design Group, experts in the design and construction of kitchens, bathrooms, basement remodels, and attic renovations, announced it will serve as the presenting sponsor for "ReFashion for Life" benefiting CommonGround Ministry/Elena's House. The benefit will take place on Fri., July 11, from 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. at the Callen Showroom and company grounds, S63 W13131 Janesville Road, in Muskego. Kohler Company will also serve as a presenting sponsor, and M Magazine will be the media partner. The event will feature a fashion show combining the latest in late summer and fall fashion in conjunction with fashionable products for the home, including countertops, cabinetry, plumbing and light fixtures, flooring, and hardware. Tickets are $35 and will go on sale on Thursday, May 15, at www.refashionforlife.com. All proceeds support the programs offered by CommonGround Ministry/Elena's House in Wauwatosa, which provides physical, spiritual, and emotional support to people infected with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Elena's House, offering a holistic ministry that is both personal and communal, is a home for four to five people that wish to reside in a safe and supportive living environment. CommonGround Ministry is a 501(c)3 organization funded through the contributions of individuals, organizations, and foundations.

Expanded Emergency Food Assistance For Flood VictimsSecretary Karen Timberlake has announced the expansion of the federal emergency food assistance program for eligible flood victims residing in Dodge, Fond du Lac, Green, Iowa, Marquette, Washington, Waukesha and Winnebago Counties with an application window between June 23 to July 1. Les Paul Milwaukee Events: June 20th - 22ndM&I is building an 18-story tribute to 93-year-old guitar legend Les Paul to celebrate his birthday. Inventor, musician and entrepreneur Les Paul will flip the switch at M&I on Friday, June 20th to light two sides of its 18-story corporate headquarters in the shape of electric guitars. The building of the guitars begins at 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 20th at 770 North Water Street with the official lighting at dusk, approximately 8:30 p.m. In addition, several Les Paul events are taking place in Milwaukee June 20th - 22nd. Flood Clean-Up Kit Distrubution TuesdayThe City of Milwaukee has been awarded 100 free flood clean-up kits from the American Red Cross in southeastern Wisconsin for Milwaukee for residents as they continue the cleaning and sterilization of their homes and businesses. The kits will be available for pick-up at the Southside Health Center located at 1639 South 23rd Street from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on a first-come first-served basis until supplies last. The clean-up kits consist of a mop, broom, bucket, bleach, rubber gloves, garbage bags and sponges.

All Eastbound Lanes Of I-90/94 Now OpenAll eastbound lanes on I-90/94 are now open. Previously, eastbound traffic was merged to one lane between mile markers 105 and 106 near Wisconsin Dells. Emergency information for the public is also available on the State Emergency Operations Center Message Service at 608-242-3059. This line will be updated every two hours or as necessary.
